Posting on behalf of my daughter who is currently abroad.

She passed her CBT over 2 yrs ago & bought a 125 to commute to university for about 9 months. Then she went travelling for over a year so unfortunately it has now expired.
She's back in the UK in Feb & keen to do her DAS before the end of March when the new rules come into force. Her bike is still in the garage & whilst it hasn't been ridden much, I've kept the battery going & the bike gets warmed up every few weeks.

In the summer she's moving to NZ and my advice to her is get a licence now for life otherwise, it may be different when she returns to the UK in a few years.

But should she pass the CBT, ride for a few weeks to get back in the saddle & then put in for her test on the 125 for a restricted licence OR go ahead with a DAS course and pass on a bigger bike. Long term she definitely wants a bigger bike.

She's quite petite and needs a company that has bikes suited to short riders.
Any recommendations?

thanks
Elaine
