We called at this track yesterday on the way back from Cams Enduro race at Harwood Dale as I have seen the track many times but never been able to find out who owns it.

I now have the details of the owner and he charges £20 for kids and £25 for adults per day for unlimited access to the track.

He also offered to rent the track out for a full day if we can get 10 people paying £25 each - is anybody interested??

If we rent the track exclusively for NUKB we can share bikes around cos NOBODY can ride without a break on an MX track for more than about 1/2 hour at a time without having a rest anyway. As for helmet, boots etc i have some spare kit which i could bring along and i'm sure the others have some too,

dodgy knee means I'll not be on the dirt bike until then as I don't want to be out of commision for the new season and for Scotland

If I've time to get out, it'll be on the road bike

and I have a house move/ renovation to contend with this summer

NO PROB mate if you want t do it we can share my bike, as been said you can only do short spells at a time anyway ,  

We can both travel down in my van with the bike.

I just need to know dates for work commitments

If you haven't already got your name down on the list below don't dilly-dally as there is a limit of 16 places in total.

The date is going to be 31st July 2010

The cost is £25 per rider (to track owner on the day)

I have asked for  private use (exclusive) of the track for NUKB members and friends only.

We have the track to ourselves for the full day of SATURDAY 31st JULY.

As we get nearer the time i will be asking for everyone to confirm their attendance as the track owner needs a minimum of 10 riders (max of 16) all paying the sum of £25 each for the day.

(even though we may need to share bikes around it is common practice to pay 'per rider' and not per bike)

I can guarantee that you will be thankfull of a rest every few minutes and totally knackered by the time we leave.

I am by no means good at this malarky yet but i'm sure the more experienced riders on the day will be able to give some riding tips to those who fancy 'having a go' but haven't done dirt-riding before.

Maybe we could even close the track for a few minutes every hour to let novices have it to themselves?

We are going to have more riders than bikes so finding someone to 'marshal' won't be a problem.

I've already had mine off road +pillion +panniers +top box +tank Bag with Dunlop Roadsmarts on (mind you do have to have a good twiddle at that springy thing under the seat first )

Just try to land on a soft bit (Scotsy normally uses his head!)

Seriously it is very important to have marshalls or spotters because if you do bin it over a blind crest or at the bottom of a jump you really do not want to be hit by the next bike that comes along - especially if it is a 4 stroke 450 with a fluffy bloke riding it
