About Us
Northukbikers.co.uk, was set up, in order to provide a way for North UK Bikers to meet each other, and enjoy riding out together. Well that was originally the idea!
Since we started the site in 2004, the site has grown into a more of a "club" than a site, and it's the members that started calling it a "club", with the "site" part, becoming just a way to communicate, and arrange meet ups, ride-outs and social events.
We run ride-outs, almost every weekend, and social events are organised on a regular basis, our last social function, a free BBQ for members saw 54 members attend, a fantastic turn out!
Membership wise, we currently have around 300 members, we don't keep inactive accounts on the site, as we see no point in keeping accounts just for statistics sake, we dont keep accounts of people just having a look at the site, and then not posting. There wouldn't be any point unless you were just trying to pretend to have more members than you really did!
Ride-Out wise, we run the most rides for North uk bikers, this year we are currently on 25 so far, and look set to beat the 50+ we ran last year, easily. Our rides are led by "Ride leaders" - these are our experienced leaders, who know some great routes, and the planning for these rides is second to none! We run trips to europe, and through our members we can obtain some great deals on costs, for hotels, and B&B's, which means our members can go away from the grind of real life, on the cheap!
We have a section, just for women, called "Women on Wheels" (WOW) which caters for female biker chat, obviously women also have access to all the other areas of the site as well!
We video the majority of our ride-outs, with high quality, digital camcorder, which doesn't record in 15fps jerk-o-vision, but at around 35fps, so the quality is excellent, you can view the videos from this site, on our links page.

We differ from many other motorcycle enthusiast sites, in that we cater for all types of biker, no matter what type of rider, or, type of motorbike you ride, we cater for all of you. From 50cc scooters, to large capacity motorcycles, we have a ride-out that will suit you. This is due to our unique Ride-out category system, where every ride, has a category, so that all involved, know what to expect when getting out and about. Established and operated by bikers, for bikers, we listen to our members, we note their requirements, and incorporate them into our forum, Democracy is important to us all and we believe that members have the right to vote on certain issues relating to the site and its policies. Its very simple to use, and allows image posting, members simply "post" messages, news items ,jokes, and etc and other members reply to those messages.
